About the participants:

Mitchell Jacobs is a PhD candidate at the University of Southern California, where he served as Managing Editor of Ricochet Editions. His poems have won the Iowa Review Prize and the Prufer Prize from Pleiades. His debut book of poems, Rogue Astronaut (University of Arkansas Press, 2026), was selected by Patricia Smith as a finalist in the Miller Williams Poetry Series.

Ashley Dailey is a writer and multimedia artist from Georgia. Her work has received support from the Academy of American Poets and the Bread Loaf Writers Conference and is published or forthcoming in TriQuarterly, Sonora Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Waxwing, and elsewhere. She received her MFA from the University of Tennessee, where she served as the Poetry Editor for Grist. She is currently the Managing Editor of Ricochet Editions. She splits her time between Georgia and Los Angeles, where she is a Dornsife Fellow at the University of Southern California.

Bryan Byrdlong is a Black poet from Chicago, Illinois. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from the Helen Zell Writers Program. He has been published in Guernica Magazine, The Kenyon Review, and Poetry Magazine, among others. Bryan received a 2021 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation. He is currently a PhD student in Creative Writing at USC in Los Angeles.

Leila Farjami is an Iranian-American poet, translator, and psychotherapist. She is the author of Daughter of Salt (Trio House Press, July 2026), an Editor’s Selection. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, The Iowa Review Award in Poetry, The Cincinnati Review’s Schiff Award, and a PEN America Emerging Voices Fellowship. Her poems have appeared in Ploughshares, The Iowa Review, AGNI, The Missouri Review, Pleiades, and elsewhere. She lives in Los Angeles. Savannah Manhattan lives in Los Angeles as an author and a poet. She has two published poetry collections called There's Something About Theo and The Deadname Triptych. Her work appears in Luna Luna, Lenticular Magazine, MiniMag, Orange Juice, Angel City Review, Salt Lake Review, Overgrowth Press, Bacchanalia Magazine, and Pina Magazine.
