Made in L.A. Vol. 5: Vantage Points is a love letter to the sprawl, diversity, and inconsistent topography of Los Angeles
This in-person reading showcases local authors who invite us to explore their vantage points in different areas of our metropolis, by foot, by car, and by skateboard. Los Angeles is sprawling, but the longer you live here, the smaller it becomes. We’ll hear from five local authors. Ryane Nicole Granados invites us out for a walk with two sisters through the Aves and introduces us to the neighbors, Christina Hoag persuades us to explore an unhappily married detective’s beat in Santa Monica, Laura McGhee introduces us to a fresh transplant via an unusual party in Topanga Canyon, Thea Pueschel tempts us to skate through palliative care and estrangement with an aging skater in the Valley, and Tisha Marie Reichle-Aguilera takes us through Gramercy Park on a search for a woman’s missing younger brother.
