Four writers of color — Laura Sermeño, Joshua-John Judah Ivory, Ten-Headed Skeleton, and Jacqueline Vitela — perform their work and talk about who gets heard in literary spaces.

From the organizers: “Join local Writers of Color for performances and a conversation about protecting and celebrating your authentic voice. Together, the panel will explore the ways in which POC writers are currently silenced, historical context, and how to make change.”

“Whether you’re a writer or simply someone who loves storytelling, this session invites you to consider the power of voice, the importance of listening, and how we can build literary spaces that honor diverse perspectives without asking them to conform.”
