Finding Rest: A 4 Week Workshop/Book Club for Black Women

October 19 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

A guided exploration of Black Girls Must Die, led by Dr. LaTasha Miller. Understand burnout, release expectations, and find rest.

Tired of carrying the weight of being “the strong one”?

“You have to be twice as good to get half as much.”

If you are a Black woman navigating corporate, healthcare, legal, or high-achieving spaces, you learned early on that society rarely allows you to just be “good enough.” To secure your seat at the table, protect your peace, or earn basic respect, you felt you had to perform above and beyond.

On the outside, you look like the ultimate success story. You have the degrees, the titles, and the reputation of being the one who always handles things. But on the inside, you are running on fumes. You struggle to rest without feeling guilty, your mind races at night, and your hyper-independence is starting to feel less like a badge of honor and more like an exhausting survival tactic.

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Join Dr. LaTasha Miller, PsyD, licensed clinical psychologist and founder of Protea Psychological Services, for the Finding Rest Workshop—a 4-week psychoeducational and growth experience designed for high-achieving millennial Black women and professionals who are ready to connect without pressure to perform.

Using Jayne Allen’s novel Black Girls Must Die Exhausted as our mirror, we’ll dive into deep, transformative conversation to unpack perfectionism, soothe frazzled nervous systems, and cultivate rest as a daily practice.

Who This Is For

Millennial Black women and BIPOC professionals feeling overwhelmed by corporate burnout, workplace microaggressions, or high-functioning anxiety.

High-achievers who struggle to set boundaries or say “no” without overwhelming guilt.

Anyone ready to transition out of survival mode and build a life grounded in ease, authenticity, and peace.
